Sustainable Supply Chain Specialist

The demand for sustainable construction is rapidly increasing, and we in STARK Group are determined to be frontrunners in all our markets to support the responsible transition to net zero. Join Group Sourcing where you will play an instrumental role in supporting the development of sustainable supply chain management and creating the foundation for environmental and human rights due diligence.

In the role of Sustainable Supply Chain Specialist , you will be situated in Group Sourcing and report to our Sustainable Supply Chain Manager. You will have close collaboration with other colleagues in Group Sourcing including Sourcing Excellence as well as our Sustainability and ESG team. Furthermore, you will join the European Sustainability community comprising sustainability managers across our business units. You will be based at the STARK Group Head Office, Frederiksberg.

The overall responsibilities in the role are activities related to implementing EUDR by managing compliance through data collection, supplier assessments, risk management and collaboration across various teams and all Business Units.

Your responsibilities

  1. Subject matter expert on EUDR and the main contact for EUDR in Group Sourcing
  2. Facilitate internal collaboration in relation to EUDR
  3. Manage the EUDR software including due diligence verification, data collection and risk management
  4. Work with suppliers to obtain data and/or coordinate risk management activities
  5. Develop and review the adequacy of processes and procedures for the EUDR program
  6. Continually evaluate and improve processes related to EUDR effectiveness with evolving EUDR requirements and best practices
  7. Coordinate with Sustainability & ESG team on annual disclosure and reporting
  8. Clear and proactive reporting to internal stakeholders
  9. Collaborate with external stakeholders such as suppliers and industry organisations to ensure alignment with evolving EUDR requirements
  10. Internal trainings of relevant stakeholders to ensure consistent implementation across business units
  11. Support business units in audits from competent authorities
  12. Support business units in responding to customer requests in relation to EUDR

The main job responsibilities will be regarding EUDR as described above, however you should also expect other tasks related to supplier due diligence will become part of your work tasks. This could include supplier risk assessment, mitigating actions and capacity building.

What you bring

  1. Relevant master's degree
  2. Experience from similar role
  3. Strong skills in relation to stakeholder management including communication skills so you can translate complex issues into more tangible issues to stakeholders
  4. Knowledge and experience with EU Deforestation regulation and/or EU Timber Regulation
  5. Experience with certification schemes such as FSC and PEFC.
  6. Experience with supply chain initiatives such as amfori
  7. Experience with international guidelines in relation to sustainability such as UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and OECD Due Diligence Guidance
  8. Knowledge and experience with CSRD, EU Taxonomy, EUDR and other sustainability regulation
  9. Comfortable working in the complexity of an international matrix organisation
  10. You focus on getting results and always act with integrity
  11. Structured approach to getting things done
  12. Flexibility to adapt as the role evolves along the EUDR requirements
  13. Technically savvy and understand how to make use of digital solutions
  14. Fluent in English both in written and verbal. Danish is an advantage but not required.
