Windar Photonics is a globally recognized leader in LiDAR-based optimization solutions for the wind energy industry. Established in 2008 as a spin-off from DTU-Risø (Technical University of Denmark), we employ a diverse and dedicated team of 35 professionals across our offices in Denmark and China.

Our pioneering WindEYE and WindVISION LiDAR systems are used worldwide by leading wind turbine manufacturers and major wind-farm owners. These advanced optical units, utilizing light reflection and the Doppler effect principles, equip wind turbine controllers with precise wind measurements. This is all achieved in the demanding conditions at the top of the nacelle.

The Role

We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to help advance and scale our maiden software product, Windar Nexus. Windar Nexus is a comprehensive software suite designed for managing LiDAR fleets on customer premises, offering a wide range of features including data collection, processing, event reporting, continuous optimization, user interface management, administrative tools, and advanced analytics.

The main tasks will include:

  • Feature Development: Collaborate closely with our software and analytics teams to design and implement innovative functionalities.
  • Platform Enhancement: Continuously refine and upgrade our existing platform to keep it aligned with the latest technological advancements.
  • Architectural Design: Craft and improve the system architecture to guarantee scalability, reliability, and optimal performance.

Your Profile

  • The ideal candidate has most of the following experience:
  • Python Development: Strong understanding of core Python concepts, advanced programming techniques, and familiarity with Python libraries and frameworks like Django, REST API, and Celery.
  • Database Management: Proficiency in working with relational databases, including experience with database design, query optimization, and management of database systems.
  • Linux Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Linux environments, including Bash scripting, file permissions, and package management.
  • System Administration: Expertise in process management, systemd, cron jobs, log management, and performance monitoring.
  • Networking: Solid understanding of networking concepts, including firewall management, SSH, NGINX, DNS configuration, and VPN setup.
  • Version Control: Good understanding of version control systems like Git.

We are looking for hands-on, cross-discipline, team-player with:

  • An analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills,
  • Education in software engineering or similar,
  • An autonomous and proactive attitude,
  • Ambition to become part of a young, enthusiastic, international development team in an informal workplace
