SEC is working within different business segments, such as consultancy, Front End Engineering Design (FEED), smaller projects, and building up to designing and constructing entire plants, including the subsequent long-term operation and maintenance.

We are currently shaping SEC for the future and are seeking a Process Lead Engineer for process design and process calculations of conventional Waste to Energy Power Plants and emerging technologies such as Power to X and Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF).

Your role

Your primary responsibilities will be to define and optimize the overall plant concepts for sustainable energy and resource solution projects. This includes setting up process flow diagrams and running heat and mass balance calculations, defining operating and design conditions of the main systems and associated equipment, as well as performing emission and noise impact studies.

Our projects encompass a broad range of sustainable energy and resource recovery solutions such as:

  • Systems within conventional power plants, e.g., Biomass and Waste to Energy power plants
  • Waste to syngas conversion
  • Syngas to liquid fuel conversion
  • Liquid fuel to SAF
  • Electrolysis
  • Power to liquid fuel

To derive optimal solutions and plant configurations, a strong emphasis on cross-functional collaboration is required.

Moreover, we highly value the ability to look beyond the immediate responsibilities and consider the broader perspective of SEC. We expect not only active engagement in daily operations but also a contribution to the continued development of SEC.

Our expectations of you

You are proactive and have a degree in engineering with a focus on process and/or thermodynamics or similar qualifications with at least 4-6 years of experience in process calculation/engineering.
