SEC is owned by Pangea AS, a Norwegian industry-focused investment company. We originated from a carve-out from a major power plant contractor, bringing with us an experienced team of employees and an impressive track record of power plant installations across the globe.
SEC is working within different business segments, like consultancy, Front End Engineering Design (FEED), smaller projects, and building-up to designing and constructing entire plants, including the subsequent long-term operation and maintenance.
We are currently shaping SEC for the future and are seeking a Mechanical Lead Engineer to work on conventional Waste to Energy Power Plants, Biomass Plants, and emerging technologies such as Power to X and Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF).

Your role.
The role encompasses a range of mechanical engineering responsibilities, focusing on system definition, supplier management, and project execution.
Key duties include specifying mechanical systems and equipment, evaluating supplier offers, and ensuring clear technical conditions for contracts. The position involves close collaboration with suppliers to manage documentation, conduct inspections, and maintain project timelines.
Additionally, the role requires on-site support and cross-functional teamwork with various disciplines to ensure project success.
Overall, this position demands a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and effective communication to oversee mechanical aspects from initial design through to implementation.
Moreover, we highly value the ability to look beyond the immediate responsibilities and consider the broader perspective of SEC. We expect not only active engagement in daily operations but also a contribution to the continued development of SEC.
Our expectations of you.
You are proactive and have a mechanical degree in engineering with a proven track record for mechanical systems of preferably Waste to Energy or Sustainable Energy Solutions with at least 5-10 years of experience.
