Acquiring external specialized knowledge with industry insight and subject matter knowledge supports COWI's goals on development and optimization. This year, COWI Procurement is embarking on a journey to establish strategic partnerships with the business, ensuring compliance, cost management, and a resilient supply chain that supports sustainable growth alongside our customers and partners. To meet our ambitious goals, we are looking for procurement professionals with deep knowledge and practical experience in procurement and category management. You will become part of a diverse team of skilled procurement professionals, collaborating to enhance and optimize COWI's supply chain. This role offers a distinct opportunity to facilitate improvements for COWI Business operations and contribute to the sustainable transformation for both COWI and the communities we support. On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  1. Oversee assigned Indirect Category, developing and implementing adequate category strategy for respective indirect categories.
  2. Continuously optimize external spending via value-adding procurement initiatives, while maintaining a realistic cost level for the assigned indirect category.
  3. Develop a collaborative partnership with internal stakeholders and act as a procurement advisor to diligently identify sourcing opportunities and cost improvement potentials for the relevant indirect category.
  4. Streamline service adoption and enhance commercial terms and service quality.
  5. Implement robust governance and Supplier Relationship Management through KPIs and SLAs to enhance supplier performance in service quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, therefore increasing the value delivered to COWI.
  6. Integrate sustainability criteria and metrics into the acquisition of external services and performance reporting.
  7. Proficiently manage and contribute to implementing and enhancing the Procurement strategy, processes, tools, and related initiatives.

To perform effectively in this role, you need to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners, or customers. On top of that, you will:

  1. Hold a master's degree with 7+ years of experience in strategic procurement in international organizations.
  2. Have a solid commercial mindset with in-depth knowledge of procurement strategy, tools, techniques, and processes.
  3. Be experienced in category management and contract negotiation for multiple indirect services.
  4. Have extensive experience in Stakeholder Management with enhanced interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization and across cultures.
  5. Possess proficient English language skills, both oral and written.
