København, Denmark Alstom Transport Danmark AS Full time

Product Introduction Field Engineer:
As part of the Danish Product Introduction (PI) department, you will – with reference to the Danish Product Introduction Manager – be given tasks like these:

  • Support technical tests and investigations during the warranty period for new trainsets.
  • Investigate the root cause of errors in order to develop corrective and preventive measures.
  • Help define the troubleshooting strategy in collaboration with our PI Trouble Shooter.
  • Provide input to PI management about e.g. customer satisfaction and product improvements.
  • Ensure a complete and good quality of reporting of errors and deviations in Alstom's Failure Management database.
  • Drive Reliability Growth (product improvements) through investigations of the reported faults/incidents and implementation of reliability forecasting.
  • Support technical review with internal and external suppliers, partners, customers, and authorities.
  • Support the preparation and implementation of Field Modification (FM).

Your background and skills:
You probably have a relevant engineering degree or many years of relevant experience in trains. In addition to having a good theoretical understanding, you are also expected to be able to be "hands-on". In addition, it is important that you like to travel and get out on test drives and visits to internal suppliers in Europe.

In addition, you should meet the following:

  • An engineering degree (e.g. electrical or mechanical) or several years of relevant experience that can compensate for an engineering degree.
  • Good troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify the root causes of faults on a train set.
  • Experience from working with trains is an advantage but not a requirement.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of safety in the workplace.
  • Structured and good at ensuring good quality in reports in databases, etc.
  • Being able to be flexible in relation to travel. (You periodically drive on different train sets that are tested in Europe)
  • Can communicate in English and preferably also in Danish in writing and speech.

Alstom offers
You will be offered an interesting and challenging job in an international organization with a focus on different aspects of green transport. You will be part of a Product Introduction organization under construction in Denmark, and thus get an important role as one of the first to later train others. The workplace is in central Copenhagen.

An agile, inclusive, and responsible culture is the foundation of Alstom, offering excellent opportunities to grow, learn, and advance in your career. Alstom is committed to ensuring that its employees reach their full potential while being valued and respected as individuals.

Travel activity is expected for the first few years, up to about 120 days a year in the European countries where the various train sets are manufactured and tested. Subsequently, much less travel is expected.

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you

Important to note
As a global business, we’re an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 70+ countries we operate in. We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace for everyone.
