For our advanced dental software platform “Unite”, we are looking for an experienced UX designer who will also take up a Team Lead role for a group of five UX designers.

You will be reporting to the Head of User Experience residing in the Product department, and your day-to-day work will be inside the organizational stream responsible for the dental clinic software platform and its related mobile app, delivered by several agile delivery teams. As a part of the cross-organizational Product UX team, you will also help ensure alignment of UX across our products and services, improve UX operations, and increase UX awareness in 3Shape.

Your UX responsibilities will include:

  1. Creating engaging and aesthetic designs for products driven by best practices and in-depth user research and testing.
  2. Working closely with product managers, software architects, and development teams to ensure delivery of products of high design quality.
  3. Taking broad conceptual ideas and turning them into useful and meaningful products, by designing flows and user experiences that translate complex needs into simple, usable interfaces.
  4. Working through all phases of design and development – all the way from conceptualization to supporting developers during delivery and tracking the adoption and success, post-launch. Giving and seeking feedback from designers and other roles to ensure a good desirable-viable-feasible balance and to continually improve the solution.

As a Team Lead, we expect that you:

  1. Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to the team, as well as facilitate their professional growth and development through sparring, while promoting a positive, safe, and collaborative environment.
  2. Are eager to explore how to optimize team performance and efficiency within an agile context, in collaboration with other functions and agile coaches.
  3. Resolve conflicts and escalate issues when necessary to complete project deliverables.
  4. Contribute to setting the strategic direction for the platform in collaboration with the product management lead and the technical lead.

Who are you?

  1. You have at least three years of experience with product design and can understand and interpret business needs and concept requirements into visual outputs creating great products and experiences.
  2. You have experience building and shipping products that are broad and ambiguous in scope and encompass end-to-end experiences across a variety of surfaces.
  3. You thrive in complexity and seek to create structure wherever possible.
  4. You are motivated and pragmatic with good communication, storytelling, and collaboration skills.
  5. You have experience working as a team leader, and you believe that empowering team members is the best way to lead, but can also dive deep and take decisions when needed.
  6. You fit in well in an open and feedback-driven culture.

It would be a great advantage, if you have any of the following:

  1. Experience with complex productivity applications or medical/dental software.
  2. Experience designing based on a Design System, /taking direction from or expanding on existing guidelines.
