Behind the title
The Data & AI Engagement Lead role is a pivotal partner to the global commercial functions, responsible for translating complex business problems into solutions within the realms of data and AI. This role demands a deep business acumen, understanding of data and AI, as well as the ability to manage the full development lifecycle of data and AI-driven projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary partner to the business lead, pressure-testing and refining business problems into actionable data and AI-driven projects
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals
  • Map and staff the appropriate mix of technical capabilities for project execution, tailored to the specific needs of each project
  • Manage the end-to-end development lifecycle of data and AI projects, maintaining deep involvement in technology choices, architecture decisions, and roadmap planning
  • Operate across one or multiple projects within commercial sectors, adapting approach and team composition based on the project type and seniority level
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in dat, AI and technology to continually enhance project outcomes
  • Ensure partnership and effective collaboration across multiple DD&IT functions and commercial units in Novo Nordisk

Which competencies to bring?
To succeed in this role, we imagine the ideal candidate meets most of the following:

  • Extensive experience in data and AI solutions development, with a strong background in project execution, data and AI- preferable in a commercial context
  • Proven ability to harvest value of data and AI in business use-cases, and managing complex projects from ideation phase to production
  • Experience from consulting and/or pharma is a benefit, but not a requirement
  • Advanced knowledge of machine learning and data modeling techniques (advanced coding skills is not expected in this role)
  • Strong functional leadership skills with experience in staffing and leading technical teams
  • Experience working in a matrix organization and effectively collaborating across different functions

On a personal level, you have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. As well as, strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
