Quality Control Engineer – Textile Fiber Lab

We are expanding, and we need a skilled and dedicated Quality Control Engineer to help us maintain the highest standards in our newly established Textile Fiber Lab in Vejle.

In this role, you will play a key part in implementing and maintaining cutting-edge quality control systems, with a focus on biopolymers and biodegradation processes. Working closely with our Head of Innovation and Quality Control, you will drive innovation, ensure product reliability, and enhance the overall quality of our products.

Key tasks:

Quality Assurance and Control:

  1. Perform routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, finished products, or stability samples.
  2. Analyze test results, compare against established specifications and control limits, and provide recommendations.
  3. Conduct visual inspections of finished products.
  4. Oversee the calibration, maintenance, and cleanliness of laboratory instruments and workspaces.

Data Management:

  1. Document test procedures and present findings to the Head of Innovation and Quality Control.
  2. Visualize data through graphs or charts, or input it into a computer for further analysis.

Process Improvement:

  1. Create and validate new testing methods.
  2. Identify issues in testing procedures and enhance them as needed.
  3. Collaborate with the product development team to incorporate quality control into new products.

Compliance and Safety:

  1. Ensure compliance with national and international standards and legislation.
  2. Participate in the development of product specifications and performance standards.
  3. Stay current on industry trends and advancements.

Team Collaboration and Communication:

  1. Report all quality control activities to the Head of Innovation and Quality Control.
  2. Train new employees on quality control procedures and standards.
  3. Collaborate with other departments to maintain consistency in quality standards.
Key Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Textiles, Materials Science, or related field.
  2. Experience in quality control, preferably in a textile lab setting.
  3. Solid grasp of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
  4. Skilled in MS Office and database management systems, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
Key Skills:
  1. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adept at collaborating with various teams.
  3. Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
