Protection Engineer

Location: Lyngby, Aarhus, Aalborg, Odense, Vejle, Esbjerg, Hamburg

Are you our new Protection Engineer?

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Protection Engineer to join us. We are a team of 60 electrical engineers working alongside our global customers on some of the most significant and prestigious projects within connection of renewable energy to the grid ensuring continued electrification in a liveable world. You will work closely with project teams, clients, and other stakeholders to develop customized protection strategies and solutions.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement protection schemes for power systems, including distribution, transmission, and generation networks Perform relay setting calculations and coordination studies to ensure proper functionality and reliability of protection systems Conduct fault analysis and develop fault detection and isolation strategies Collaborate with project teams to integrate protection systems into overall project designs Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation related to protection systems Provide technical support and guidance to clients and project teams

Qualifications and Skills:

As a minimum Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field Proven experience as a Protection Engineer, preferably in the power industry Solid understanding of protection principles, relay settings, and coordination studies Proficiency in using protection engineering software and tools (e.g., Siemens, ETAP, DIGSI) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Professional certification in protection engineering is a plus
