As Senior Software Developer at EMD International, you will be part of the software team working to develop desktop software for renewable energy applications, particularly wind energy, through the industry-leading windPRO software. The Senior Software Developer will contribute to continuously enhancing and refining existing software products for the wind energy sector.
With direct report to Morten Lybech Thøgersen, Head of Software Development.
Your main tasks are:
- Software development for desktop software as part of a cross-functional SCRUM team, primarily on the windPRO software
- Implementation of calculation methods and algorithms for internal and external dissemination in the software
- Contributions to R&D Project specification, facilitation, and realisation
- Continuous improvements of existing methods and services
- Contributions to software development with quality assurance of methods and services
- Contributions to data-development
- Contributions to high-performance computing models and methods
You have a strong knowledge of the energy sector or software development tools and applications. You have knowledge and experience with some of the following topics: Big data, high-performance computing, geospatial data, uncertainty modelling, optimisation techniques, wind energy, solar energy, energy systems modelling, wind-turbine wakes, remote sensing or flow modelling.
You have a M.Sc. or PhD in Engineering or Science , preferably with a background in software-engineering, wind energy, energy systems, renewable energy, physics, numerical modelling, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and/or atmospheric flow models. You have a high level of spoken and written English and preferably a reasonable level of Danish competencies.
You are a dedicated team player who believes in goals reached through high competencies and close collaboration. You are proactive and energetic, with an analytical mindset. You are enthusiastic about contributing to the green transition.
