Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc. Full time

As a global leader in cybersecurity, CrowdStrike protects the people, processes and technologies that drive modern organizations. Since 2011, our mission hasn't changed — we're here to stop breaches, and we've redefined modern security with the world's most advanced AI-native platform. We work on large scale distributed systems, processing almost 3 trillion events per day. Our customers span all industries, and they count on CrowdStrike to keep their businesses running, their communities safe and their lives moving forward. We're also a mission-driven company. We cultivate a culture that gives every CrowdStriker both the flexibility and autonomy to own their careers. Ready to join a mission that matters? The future of cybersecurity starts with you.

About the Role

CrowdStrike is seeking an Engineering Manager / Sr. Engineering Manager for the NG-SIEM (next generation security information and event management) product group working on the LogScale Platform Global Serverless Platform team. The Global Serverless Platform team is responsible for building and operating the global- and region-level automation that will automatically manage the industry's largest event data store and search system. Our goals are to scale to 100s of PB of data ingress per day, while maintaining best-in-class ingest, search, and detection SLAs, as well as a best-in-class cost structure. This is a critical role in the organization, responsible for driving the engineering team as they build towards a zero-touch, highly refined, self-service model in this space.

What You'll Do
  1. Uphold operational excellence for the global- and region-level serverless platform systems. Be a champion of secure, high-quality engineering, and drive teams towards architectures that strike the right balance between availability, scalability, and cost.
  2. Lead by example on customer and product focus.
  3. Move our serverless platform mission forward: independently balance constraints around distributed system engineering, end-to-end system resilience, and HW utilisation.
  4. Be instrumental in the hiring, retention, mentorship, and growth of our world-class engineering teams.
  5. Engage and collaborate with various teams and ensure our platform's success. Work cross-functionally with peers in the product engineering organization, the platform engineering organization, as well as with field leaders in sales, customer success, and support.
  6. Utilize excellent verbal and written communication skills when working with teams across the globe. Travel a few times every year to meet with your teams and peers.
What You'll Need
  1. 5+ years of experience architecting, designing, and developing distributed system platform software products/releases, preferably in a hyper-scale cloud environment, across all phases of the development lifecycle.
  2. 3+ years of experience managing teams of 6+ individual contributors reporting to you and delivering multiple major milestones of products. Demonstrated track record of building strong engineering teams.
  3. Successful track record of scaling up large SaaS-type offerings (e.g., to >500k CPU cores).
  4. Demonstrated track record of operational excellence when operating services that span many components across several geographical regions.
  5. Shown capability to solve complex scenarios of integrating multiple systems and services that are operating 24/7.
  6. Proven understanding of the tools used to optimise large SaaS platforms that are subjected to multiple constraints, e.g., statistical methods or monte carlo analysis.
  7. History of positive impact on customer experience and business results.
  8. Experience working with remote teams across geographies and cultures.
  9. Ability to communicate and articulate crisply at all levels from executive staff to individual contributors.
Bonus Points
  1. Successful track record of scaling up large SaaS-type offerings to >1M CPU cores while increasing resilience and reducing unit costs.
  2. Solid grounding in the technology of at least one cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  3. Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
  4. Exposure to/experience with cybersecurity and intelligence.
  5. Machine learning and data science familiarity and hands-on experience.
Benefits of Working at CrowdStrike:
  1. Remote-friendly and flexible work culture.
  2. Market leader in compensation and equity awards.
  3. Comprehensive physical and mental wellness programs.
  4. Competitive vacation and holidays for recharge.
  5. Paid parental and adoption leaves.
  6. Professional development opportunities for all employees regardless of level or role.
  7. Employee Resource Groups, geographic neighbourhood groups and volunteer opportunities to build connections.
  8. Vibrant office culture with world class amenities.
  9. Great Place to Work Certified across the globe.

About Us

CrowdStrike was founded in 2011 to fix a fundamental problem: The sophisticated attacks that were forcing the world's leading businesses into the headlines could not be solved with existing malware-based defenses. Founder George Kurtz realized that a brand new approach was needed — one that combines the most advanced endpoint protection with expert intelligence to pinpoint the adversaries perpetrating the attacks, not just the malware.

There's much more to the story of how Falcon has redefined endpoint protection but there's only one thing to remember about CrowdStrike: We stop breaches.
