About the Role: We are seeking an experienced professional with expertise in Microsoft tools and technologies like Power BI, Analysis Services, and Microsoft Fabric. The candidate is currently a BI and Data Visualization Consultant, Analytics Specialist, Business Intelligence Developer, BI Solutions Architect, or regardless of role is working with the mentioned technologies in a medium to large company as internal consultant or external consultant. It is important that the candidate can work independently, demonstrating initiative and self-motivation in their tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate and Interact with Clients/Stakeholders: Understand business needs and goals to provide tailored Analytic solutions. Perform data analysis and modeling to create insights.
2. Design and Develop Power BI Dashboards: Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports. Focus on usability, performance, flexibility, and standardization. Design and implement data validation and error-checking methods.
3. Design and Build Analysis Services Models: Design, implement, and manage models, optimize performance, and ensure data accuracy.
4. Microsoft Fabric: Implement and manage data lakehouses, real-time analytics, and data integration using Microsoft Fabric.
5. Data Integration: Extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
6. Provide Training and Support: Help business users effectively use Power BI dashboards and visualizations.
7. Maintain Documentation: Ensure all functional and business requirements are documented and met.
8. Stay Updated: Keep abreast of developments in Power BI, Analysis Services Models, Fabric and other necessary tooling of interest.

Required Technical Skills:

1. Power BI Desktop:
   • Advanced report and dashboard design
   • Data modeling and transformation
   • DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for complex calculations
   • Use of bookmarks, buttons, tooltips, and drill-through features
   • Role-based security and mobile layout design
2. Power BI Service:
   • Workspace and app creation and management
   • Data gateway setup and management
   • Deployment and sharing of reports and dashboards
3. Data Integration and ETL:
   • Extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources
   • Proficiency with Power Query for data preparation
4. Analysis Services Models:
   • Designing and creating tabular models using tools like SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) or Visual Studio.
   • Defining relationships, hierarchies, and calculated columns within the model.
   • Writing DAX formulas for measures, calculated columns, and tables.
   • Implementing time intelligence functions and advanced calculations.
   • Optimizing model performance using techniques like partitioning, aggregations, and indexing.
   • Implementing row-level security (RLS) and object-level security (OLS) to control data access.
   • Managing user roles and permissions within the tabular model.
   • Deploying tabular models
   • Integrating tabular models with reporting tools like Power BI, Excel
5. Microsoft Fabric:
   • Data Visualization Techniques: Proficiency in creating visualizations using built-in Fabric notebook chart options
   • Integration with Power BI: Creating and embedding Power BI reports within Fabric notebooks. Using Power BI to visualize data from SQL databases in Fabric. Managing and sharing Power BI reports and dashboards with stakeholders
   • SQL Analytics Endpoint: Utilizing the SQL analytics endpoint in Fabric to create data models and visualizations
   • Real-Time Analytics: Implementing real-time analytics and visualizations using Fabric's real-time processing capabilities
   • Advanced Visualization Features: Leveraging advanced features like interactive filters, drill-downs, and tooltips to enhance user experience.
6. Microsoft Office Suite:
   • Advanced skills in Excel, including Power Query and Power Pivot
   • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote for documentation and presentations
7. Other Technical Skills:
   • Writing and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation
   • Familiarity with other BI tools like Targit
   • Understanding of DevOps practices and Agile methodologies
   • Basic knowledge of Python or R for data analysis

Language:

• English – High Proficiency
• Danish - Not mandatory, but preferred

Education:

A higher education degree in one of the following fields is preferred but not mandatory:

• Business Analytics
• Statistics or Mathematics
• Business Administration

Relevant certifications such as:
