If you are inspired by developing software solutions and you have a lot of experience with safety software, technically guiding part of the functionality for Vestas wind turbines, from development to deployment, and find motivation in both people and technical leadership in a complex business environment, then you may be the candidate we are looking for.
Responsibilities
- The continued development of safety software processes, including activities to ensure compliance with relevant safety standards such as ISO 13849-1 and IEC 61508
- Ensuring that safety development processes, strategic roadmap, architecture and quality expectations are met
- Ensuring that safety software remains innovative by keeping abreast of developments within relevant industries and translating this to a strategy which can be executed by the safety software sub-module
- Guiding safety software modularization according to the goals of the Vestas modularization strategy
- Participating in requirement development and discussions of design considerations for new features within safety software
- Managing intellectual property development within safety software, including patents and ensuring freedom to operate
- Having an advanced understanding of the technical domain under your responsibility together with the architecture and context of the safety software submodule
- Overseeing and integrating technical submodule roadmap, following Vestas' modularization strategy, to optimize work and maximize reusability across wind turbine platforms
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working in safety software development and technical leadership roles
- Basic understanding and experience in Agile software development framework
- Well-versed in technical guidance within software development domains
- Experience with multicultural or multi-site development teams is beneficial
- Innovative, customer-focused and have a high level of commitment
- Advanced communication skills and are fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Aspiration and interest to learn about wind turbine design processes from a software engineering perspective, and you have a continuous improvement mindset
