CIM Blades is anchored in Vestas Quality. In CIM Blades, we work closely with blade designers, engineers, and sub-suppliers on multiple activities to improve project delivery and boost customer satisfaction. We are key to the delivery of our current and future innovation.


Responsibilities
  1. Investigate blade related failures reported from turbines in field by collaborating with site technicians and design engineers
  2. Guide and participate in root-cause analysis and identify impact on fleet
  3. Translating the nature of detected blade failures to into solutions preventing re-occurrence of the failure within Vestas
  4. Identify short and long-term actions to reduce effect of failure
  5. Initiate creation of necessary design change orders and the update of DFMEAs
  6. Dialogue and alignment with affected stakeholders, Factory or supplier of blades, module owners, Service, and Construction, finance etc

Qualifications

The most important thing is that you know how a wind turbine functions and have proficiency in solving issues of complex technical nature. Other important qualifications for success in this job are:

  1. Bachelor's or master's degree with a minimum of 5 years' experience from the wind industry is valuable
  2. Experience in with DMAIC improvement cycle, 6-Sigma
  3. High level of experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  4. Familiarity with Engineering Change Management and Continuous Improvement Management

Competencies
  1. Goal-oriented, target focused, willingness to manage tasks
  2. The ability to handle multiple projects and activities simultaneously
  3. The ability to work in a time-sensitive situation with a pragmatic approach
  4. Good communication skills both verbal & written
  5. Good analytical/investigative skills are required
  6. Have a structured approach and able to break down complex technical problems to specific action plans
  7. Good English communication skills, both written and spoken
  8. Cross engineering experience and understanding is valuable
  9. Usage of CAD viewer tools and SAP
