Key responsibilities

  1. Develop, maintain and upgrade communication modules that bridge robots and welding power sources.
  2. Test and ensure the quality of communication modules both before and after system integration.
  3. Help develop conceptual solutions for new innovative features related to welding.
  4. Gain knowledge of welding processes to proactively recommend enhancements for the software that supports improved weld quality.
  5. Create documentation for efficient knowledge sharing between the team members.
  6. Help support customers with issues related to your field of expertise.

Your competences and profile

The ideal candidate is a passionate software developer with experience in C++ or a similar language, preferably with a few years of hands-on experience. Moreover, the candidate is either knowledgeable about welding or eager to learn and is comfortable exploring this field.

The candidate may hold a degree in Robotics Engineering, IT Technology, Automation Technology, or a related field that qualifies them for C++ development. However, for this position, skills and a willingness to learn are more important than formal education.

Moreover, you may have experience in one or more of these fields:

  1. URcap development
  2. Java, Python
  3. Robot programming, experience with one or more brands (UR, NEURA, Kuka, ABB etc.)
  4. Fieldbus communication (MODBUS, PROFINET, Ethernet/IP etc.)
  5. Computer networking and network topology
