In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and coaching Offshore Service Site Technicians at new Offshore Service sites across all Regions during the Service Readiness and site Ramp-Up phases. The aim is to ensure that there is sufficient knowledge sharing across Global Offshore Service operations and that best practices and new learnings are implemented across the whole value chain, minimising lost production from day one.

As a mentor and coach, you will provide guidance and support with day-to-day operations of the windfarm to help train the local site team operate windfarm to maximum efficiency.

During your first year you will undergo Vestas technical training at our training facilities in Denmark, along with field training alongside your colleagues at one of our first V236 operational sites before you will be placed at one our new Offshore Service sites across the globe.

You will be required to work either onshore or offshore on a rotational shift pattern working from sites utilizing either an SOV or CTV, supporting our first V236 sites from Service Commencement. You'll be working alongside the site team using your knowledge and experience to develop their skills and competencies when it comes to troubleshooting and service activities to reduce LPF and will move on to the next project/region upon meeting exit criteria.

Responsibilities

As a V236 Field Trainer / V236 Technician, you will be responsible for training and coaching your colleagues on how to operate the new game-changing V236-15MW Turbines. You will act as a mentor and ambassador for operational excellence within the region and promote the OneVestas philosophy.

Your typical tasks would be as follows:

• Support the site team in using Vestas processes and best practices to ensure that we operate in a standard way, enabling the scale up of Offshore Service, globally. You will act as a global anchor in the feedback of lessons learned to the whole value chain.
• Support site teams with troubleshooting & fault diagnosis of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Train teams in all technical and operational aspects of our flagship V236 platform.
• Improving first time fixes and driving down annual service times (Use of Power BI to monitor times).
• Application and coaching in the use of the Vestas Wind Turbine Safety Rules, establishing general safety.
• Training new starting Technicians from early recruitment.
• Support with inspection & upgrading activities.
• Daily monitoring of operations, and remote fault finding via online systems.
• Support the Global Offshore Support Supervisor and Site Supervisor and coaching other technicians.

Qualifications

• Completed electrical or mechanical degree from a technical school/college/university i.e. Marine Engineer or similar.
• It will be an advantage if you have a relevant professional experience (electrical or mechanical) and preferably previous experience as a Field Trainer, Lead Supervisor/ Lead Technician, Service Technician/ Trouble shooter, Commissioning Supervisor or similar in Vestas or you might have a relevant background from the Wind Business or similar.
• Currently hold Authorised Technician status on V164/V174 or EnVentus platforms.
• Good English skills both oral and in written.
• Full driver's license.
• Good IT knowledge and skills (preferred: SAP, Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Possess people managing, coaching and leadership skills/experience.
• Good time management. Comfortable working in busy periods.
• Accountable person who takes responsibility for actions.
• Good communicator and advisor who supports colleagues.
• Motivated and determined to succeed.
• Enthusiastic about renewables and making a positive difference.
• Ability to be efficient, keep tasks simple and ensure they are delivered.
