Responsibilities:

  • Execute intraday proprietary trading strategies specifically within the CWE power markets, identifying and capitalizing on profitable opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyze market dynamics, price drivers, and imbalances to inform and optimize trading decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with the team to develop and refine innovative trading strategies, leveraging advanced analytics and market insights.
  • Manage risk effectively within the firm's risk framework while maintaining a strong performance track record.
  • Stay informed on regulatory developments and their implications for the CWE markets.
  • Play a key role in shaping the firm's trading operations and fostering a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of proven experience in intraday proprietary power trading on the CWE markets, with a track record of consistent profitability.
  • Deep understanding of CWE market structures, including balancing mechanisms and price drivers.
  • Proficiency with trading platforms, analytical tools, and programming languages (e.g., Python, VBA) to support trading and strategy development.
  • Strong risk management skills and a disciplined, proactive approach to trading.
  • Exceptional analytical and decision-making capabilities in a fast-paced market environment.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to contribute meaningfully to a growing business.
