Position Overview
We are seeking a visionary Data Science & AI Lead to accelerate our efforts in harnessing data to create value across our business. In this role, you will be spending time in our business and ensuring that business ideas are transformed into practical, impactful solutions. Together with our Director of Architecture and Intelligence, you'll build and drive a newly established function: Data Science & AI Center of Excellence (CoE) - which aims to drive innovation and integrate AI technologies by aligning initiatives with business goals, fostering cross-departmental collaboration, and ensuring scalable and sustainable practices. This approach will enhance organizational performance and maintain a competitive edge.

You'll collaborate with dynamic cross-functional teams to uncover key data-driven opportunities in the bunkering industry and bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams for seamless communication and alignment.

Additionally, you'll lead the design and implementation of innovative AI models and data analytics that tackle industry challenges, optimizing fuel logistics, pricing, and customer satisfaction. Inspire a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the data science team, staying ahead with emerging technologies. Your hands-on expertise in data analysis, modeling, and coding will be invaluable in guiding and mentoring team members. Your key responsibilities will thus include:

What do you bring?
Bring your passion and expertise to our team with a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field, and 5-7 years of experience in data science or AI. Experience in the maritime or bunkering industry is an advantage

Showcase your technical prowess in programming and machine learning frameworks, and use your industry knowledge to turn business needs into innovative solutions.

Inspire and lead your team with your exceptional communication and problem-solving skills. Embrace our dynamic environment with enthusiasm, ready to learn and adapt to new technologies. Specifically, we expect you to have:

• Bachelor's or Master's in Data Science or related field; Ph.D. is a plus
• 5-7 years of experience in data science or AI
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and machine learning frameworks
• Strong business acumen in the bunkering industry
• Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills
• Adaptability to fast-paced, dynamic environments

The position is in Middelfart or Aarhus, and travel to our location in Middelfart on a weekly basis is to be expected.
