We are looking for an Assistant Merchandise Planner for our Commercial Planning team, who enjoys working cross-functionally and developing in a fast paced, transformational environment.

The primary purpose of this role is to assist Merchandise Planners in managing the open-to-buy process for individual categories, ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, margin, inventory, turnover, and GMROI are consistently met. Additionally, the role involves supporting campaign planning and assortment processes to ensure campaign volumes align with budget expectations. Collaboration with Merchandise Planners is essential in aiding the Product team with financial governance, including responsibilities such as ordering, forecasting, inventory flow management, markdowns, and pricing. Furthermore, this position plays a role in optimizing assortment and range by working closely with Space Planning to develop effective planograms.

The overall goal of this role is to provide support to Merchandise Planners throughout the range review, management, and analysis processes. It also involves working in coordination with the Product and Forecasting & Ordering teams to ensure seamless operations. Over time, the role will expand to include Merchandise Planning responsibilities for a small category, fostering growth and development in the field.

You will become part of an international organisation, with a global perspective. Being based at our HQ office in the heart of Copenhagen, you will report directly to the Senior Merchandise Planner.

Main responsibilities

  • Updating weekly reports and trackers used by the Merchandise Planning Team.
  • Assessing weekly item product flow and management.
  • Creating campaign review preparation analysis to support the development of campaigns.
  • Taking on roles as Merchandise Planner for category/sub-category.
  • Creation of monthly reports to update stakeholders on the product assortment.
  • Reviewing master data related to Merchandise Planning and working with cross-functional teams to correct discrepancies.
  • Supporting in the creation of campaign catalogue materials.

This is you

  • A passion for products and a desire for a career in Merchandise Planning.
  • Strong analytical and numeric abilities combined with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyse and work with data.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks to ensure key deadlines are achieved.
  • Expert level in Microsoft Excel advanced analytics functions: formulas, pivots, macros, etc.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English; Danish proficiency is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Degree in related disciplines or education in the field could be an advantage.
