Commissioning Engineer

VMS Group is seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our System Integration & Commissioning department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth commissioning of marine diesel engines and related equipment.

1. Manage commissioning projects worldwide and locally in Frederikshavn, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
2. Prepare and submit project reports, highlighting key milestones and challenges.
3. Conduct technical investigations and prepare project start procedures.
4. Ensure the commissioning team adheres to safety, quality, and working instructions from customers and VMS Group.
5. Continuously improve commissioning processes and procedures to enhance future working efficiency.
6. Implement new products and documentation, providing technical support to colleagues and customers.
7. Review tools, additional parts, and consumables during projects.
8. Travel approximately 75-90 days per year.

1. Extensive experience in servicing marine diesel engines and/or gearboxes, thrusters, propulsion, deck equipment, steering gear, and automation of marine equipment.
2. Ability to read and comprehend complex machinery or equipment manuals, translating technical instructions into practical actions.
3. Strong commitment to overcoming challenges and delivering high-quality results.
4. Ability to perform troubleshooting for automation and electrical systems.
5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse nationalities.
6. Education as a marine or mechanical engineer, electrician, or similar.
7. Proficient English skills, both oral and written.
