Associate Professor in Peptide and Protein Medicinal Chemistry

We are seeking a highly qualified Associate Professor to join our team at the Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading research projects in peptide ligand discovery, biochemical and biophysical characterization of peptides and proteins, and investigations of protein folding.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in peptide ligand discovery, biochemical and biophysical characterization of peptides and proteins, and investigations of protein folding
- Develop and teach research-based courses in relevant fields within the Department's education activities
- Provide research leadership, guidance, and supervision to researchers
- Engage in outreach and innovation activities within the Department and with external partners
- Attract external funding to support research projects
- Share knowledge with the surrounding society through academic assessments and publications
- Research qualifications at the level of an assistant professor or equivalent
- Teaching qualifications and pedagogical competencies
- Research-based teaching experience
- Good interpersonal and communicative skills
- Strong documented scientific track record in peptide ligand discovery
- Experience with biophysical protein characterization, in vitro and cell-based assays
- Track record in attracting external funding
- Experience in development and conduction of research-based teaching
The position is a permanent position with a 37-hour workweek. Salary and other terms and conditions of appointment are set in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).
