Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly qualified Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Specialist at Terma A/S, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our aerospace products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
The successful candidate will lead and mentor a team of quality assurance professionals, manage non-conformances, develop and maintain quality assurance processes, oversee product quality management, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Inspire and Lead Your Team
- Guide and support a team of quality assurance professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Develop the team's skills and ensure effective communication and teamwork.
- Ensure professional handling of non-conformances and drive structured problem-solving using the 8D methodology and in-depth root cause analysis tools.
- Maintain high standards for issue resolution and continuous improvement.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality assurance processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices, continuously improving the quality management system.
- Oversee aerostructure product quality, including the preparation of quality plans, conducting quality data analysis (e.g., SPC), and performing First Article Inspection.
- Participate in program meetings and serve as the customer's point of contact for all quality-related matters.
- Conduct internal and external audits and facilitate surveillances in production to ensure ongoing compliance with quality standards.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Support and deploy strategic and continuous improvement projects using Six Sigma methodology.
- Drive initiatives that enhance process efficiency and product quality.
You will possess strong decision-making and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks. You should have a solution-oriented mindset, coupled with curiosity and self-confidence, and a willingness to take a stand.
Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and compliance are essential. Extensive data analysis skills and fluency in both written and spoken English are also required.
Your BackgroundYou should have an educational background in engineering or another technical degree, along with at least 5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance. Experience with quality management related to aerospace manufacturing, such as AS9100, and technical knowledge of composite part manufacturing and/or metal machining are highly desirable.
Qualifications in quality management and continuous improvement, including Lean Six Sigma, will be considered advantageous.
