About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Student Assistant to join our IT Security team at GN Group. As a Student Assistant, you will play a key role in helping us protect and enhance our global IT Security, which is based on a zero-trust concept.
About the Team
You will be part of a highly skilled and supportive department located in Ballerup, with a diverse and experienced team of specialists working closely together with other IT teams, our CISO, and other stakeholders in an informal and dynamic global work environment.
About the Responsibilities
- Assist the team in performing vulnerability management
- Perform small-scoped pentests on our active directory environment
- Assist the team in creating and optimizing SIEM analytic rules
- Analyze RBAC and other permission requests and ensure they are properly scoped for the business case
- Assist the team in reviewing and mitigating incidents/alerts from our SOC
- Pull and format data from our environment to aid GN's CIS18 rollout
- Assist the CIS18 Assessor team in CIS control assessing evidence collection as well as result reporting and collaboration with teams across GN
- Provide support for users when they have IT-security related inquiries
About the Requirements
- Enthusiastic about IT security
- Aim to deliver high-quality results and understand security in networks, endpoints, and architecture
- Stay updated with the global threat landscape and leverage this knowledge for effective mitigation and detection
- Have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and experience with security frameworks and compliance standards
- Possess effective communication skills, can work well in a team, and have a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security issues
- Are fluent in English both written and orally
About the Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a candidate who is in the first year of their Master program, with an expected graduation in summer 2026 or latest February 2027.
