Job Description

At Danfoss, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in managing, controlling, and analyzing the financial development of our plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cost analysis and follow-up on all cost categories on a monthly and ad hoc basis, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations to minimize deviations.
  • Present financial performance results and policies to management, providing insights and recommendations to inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with various departments to improve results, understand gaps, and help close them.
  • Prepare quarterly plant forecasts, including deviation analysis to budget and previous forecast.
  • Develop and maintain accurate financial management reporting for the plant, including KPI reporting, analysis, and trends.
  • Identify and communicate risks and opportunities to the management team, making proposals for correction and improvement.
  • Coordinate and prepare the annual budget, ensuring the total plant budget meets targets provided by the BU Controller/Leadership.
  • Assist project leaders in preparing new AFEs, PDP & DCF models, localizations, and follow-up.
  • Provide training and support to the organization at all levels within the plant.
  • Facilitate the yearly costing run and secure organizational involvement in validation of standards, including the monthly material ledger.
  • Participate in group projects related to the financial area, such as reporting, system implementations, and new ERP projects.
  • Assist all levels in the organization with financial questions on a day-to-day basis.

Requirements:

  • MSc in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
  • 3+ years of relevant working experience from a job within finance after graduation.
  • Excellent communication and culture awareness skills.
  • Ability to influence others and be a good team player.
  • Outstanding skills in Excel and familiarity with SAP and BO.
  • Business-minded skills, analytical/systematic approach, and high aptitude and ability level.
  • Proficient understanding of forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Ability to challenge stakeholders and shine a light on the essence of findings in relation to managing projects and change management processes efficiently.
