Sustainable Energy Solutions Project Lead

As a Senior Project Manager at Vestas, you will be responsible for overseeing complex offshore wind projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a program of sub-projects, guiding teams and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have experience in program management or project management of large, complex projects in a global organization. You will be expected to provide clear leadership, motivate and guide team members to achieve project targets.
This position involves facilitating stakeholder engagement, ensuring effective information flow, and maintaining clear communication with senior management. Additionally, you will monitor program milestones and commercial deadlines, actively balancing the risk profile of the program.
You will ensure proper delegation of work assignments to project managers assigned to your program. Your goal is to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities- Oversight of a program of complex sub-projects spanning multiple lines and value chain functions across multiple business units.
- Clear leadership, motivating and guiding team members to achieve project targets.
- Facilitating stakeholder engagement through effective information flow and maintaining clear communication with senior management.
- Monitoring program milestones (A-level) and internal and external commercial deadlines.
- Actively balancing the risk profile of the program and providing transparency in present risk level.
- Ensuring proper delegation of work assignments to project managers assigned to your program.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or other related fields.
- Documented experience +8 years with Program management or project management of large, complex projects in a global project organization.
- Formal project management training and certification (e.g., IPMA Level B or A, Prince2 Practitioner, Project Management Professional (MPM)).
- Wind energy industry experience is desirable but not mandatory.
- Motivating, empowering, and guiding others, with good communication skills.
- Ability to make decisions and set direction when necessary.
- Effective listener who draws on the resources and competencies of the entire team.
- Result-focused throughout the project team and a focus on opportunities rather than obstacles.
- Able to maintain focus on overall targets and commitments, even when facing challenges.
