Construction Projects Specialist

UNICEF works in over 190 countries to save children's lives and protect their rights. As a key partner in this mission, we require professionals who can support our efforts by managing construction projects sustainably.
This position is responsible for providing direction and guidance on planning, procurement, partnership, and execution of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in project and contract management, oversight, supervision, and monitoring of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and review the regulatory framework and guidance on construction
- Maintain the contractual framework for construction used to hire contractors, engineering firms, and NGOs through institutional contracts
- Collaborate with OATC to lead any improvements required to construction contracts in VISION
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Advanced University degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, architecture, or building construction
- Minimum five years of professional work experience including at least three years of international-level experience in project and contract management, oversight, supervision, and monitoring of construction projects
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of another official UN language is an asset
