About the Role

In this pivotal position as Senior Legal Specialist at Riverty, you will play a central role in supporting our business and driving growth across Norway and Denmark. Reporting to our General Counsel for RBIF Nordics & Benelux, your primary responsibility will be to provide expert legal advice on debt collection, consumer law, business law, and contract law.

As part of our dynamic team of 25+ lawyers, you will have extensive interactions with various stakeholders, including Product, Sales, Marketing, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Operations. Our organization's culture is international, low-hierarchical, and prioritizes cooperation, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Your key tasks will include:

  • Providing comprehensive legal support and guidance on a wide range of topics, particularly in debt collection, consumer law, business law, and contract law
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating client contracts, supplier agreements, and other pertinent internal and external contracts and legal documents
  • Supporting a diverse range of internal stakeholders and acting as a trusted advisor to the international Legal team
  • Representing the organization in matters involving supervisory authorities
  • Monitoring upcoming legislation and advising the organization on its potential impact on business

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in law (Norway or Denmark preferred) and 2-5 years of hands-on experience in debt collection, debt purchase, consumer protection law, and contract law. You should also have well-developed legal, drafting, and advisory skills, as well as an analytical, determined, result-oriented, and self-motivated personality.

We offer a competitive salary package, estimated around €60,000 - €80,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to a dynamic and innovative work environment.
