We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced researcher to lead our research group focused on vaccine technologies and their application to improve prophylaxis against airway pathogens. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining state-of-the-art facilities for discovery and research.


The position offers a unique opportunity to join the newly established Novo Nordisk Foundation Initiative for Vaccines and Immunity (NIVI), which aims to harness airway immunity through innovative vaccine research and development. NIVI has two parts: NIVI Research (NIVI-R) conducts scientific research, while NIVI Development (NIVI-D) works to quickly turn that research into new vaccine candidates.


Your primary responsibilities will include:



  • Scientific/Research Leadership & Management: Lead and manage the multidisciplinary group, providing guidance and supervision.
  • Cross Collaboration: Provide collaborative leadership and participate in cross-cutting teams to ensure research integration with other NIVI research groups.
  • External Partnerships & Collaborations: Collaborate with external groups to gain access to model systems and related technologies.
  • Design: Discover and optimise new methods, technologies and innovations to further the scientific agenda of NIVI Research.
