Job Description:
The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Vaccines and Immunity is actively seeking a highly skilled researcher to join our team as an Assistant Professor of Structural Biology and Protein Biochemistry. This tenure track position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in the field of vaccines and immunity.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct innovative research in structural biology and protein biochemistry, with a focus on vaccine immunogens.
- Develop and maintain state-of-the-art research facilities, including those related to high-throughput structural analysis and computational methods.
- Collaborate with cross-cutting project teams to ensure research integration with other NIVI-R groups.
- Pursue external partnerships and collaborations to gain access to model systems and technologies relevant to NIVI's mission.
- Design, discover, and optimize new methods and technologies to advance the scientific agenda of NIVI-R.
- Closely collaborate with NIVI-D to ensure translational sciences excellence in disease pathogens and airway immunity research.
- Engage in research-based teaching in relevant fields.
- Represent NIVI-R and NIVI at international scientific events and congresses.
- Share knowledge with society through public debate and participation in formal pedagogical training.
- Publish research findings in high-impact publications and present at key congresses.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. and/or M.D. in a relevant field of biology.
- Research experience within the field of structural biology and protein biochemistry.
- Interest in contributing to leadership and motivating diverse teams.
- Agile working style with an appetite for change and challenging dogma.
- Experience in complex projects across multiple locations.
- Familiarity with knowledge and technology transfer.
- Pre- and postgraduate teaching experience in relevant fields.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Collaborative work history.
