Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Renewable Energy Technologies

Aarhus University is seeking a highly qualified and innovative researcher to join our Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering as a Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Renewable Energy Technologies. The successful candidate will be part of our Section of Fluids and Energy and will contribute to our research and teaching activities in the field of renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities- Establish an internationally recognized research group in renewable energy technologies
- Develop strong local and international research collaborations
- Attract external funding for research projects
- Contribute to teaching at the Bachelor, Master, and PhD levels in mechanical engineering and renewable energy
- Establish strong industrial R&D cooperation
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field
- Strong research track record and high-quality publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Leadership experience in establishing an internationally competitive research group
- Ability to attract research funding from government and/or private sources
- Excellent teaching and communication skills
- A well-developed research infrastructure and laboratories
- An exciting interdisciplinary environment with many national, international, and industrial collaborators
- A research climate encouraging lively, open, and critical discussion
- A workplace characterized by professionalism, equality, and a healthy work-life balance
