We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Manager to lead our agile product development team at Workiva Netherlands BV. Key Responsibilities- People Management: Assess and document individual employee performance, meet with direct reports to discuss and coach in areas including career development, assigning product development work, and problem solving.
- Fulfilment of Customer Requirements: Collaborate with other leaders to define, plan, and execute roadmap objectives, ensuring that customer requirements are met.
- Technical Oversight: Provide technical oversight and guidance to the team, promoting sustainable product development practices and agile principles.
- Product Development Planning: Plan and advocate for architecture priorities as part of the roadmap, providing context for business-level objectives and product, engineering, and architectural decisions.
- Process Improvement: Lead engineering management initiatives within the broader leadership team, prioritizing and investing time into career growth for direct reports.
- Stakeholder Relationship Management: Represent the engineering function for the Workiva ParsePort product line, assessing and managing team health, including employee engagement and conflict management.
- Minimum Qualifications: 8+ years of related career experience in Software Engineering in a technology organization, 3+ years of people management experience in a technology organization, and an undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of knowledge and related career experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated leadership skills in people and team management, experience working in an agile development environment, and experience with C#,.Net Core, Azure, Kubernetes, Redis, RabbitMQ, Signal-R, or MySQL.
This role requires reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a company office, and 20% travel for customer and internal meetings.
