DTU Energy is seeking a researcher to join our team in developing new materials for micro- and nano-electromechanical systems (MEMS and NEMS).
The project aims to fabricate nanometric materials, including nanostructured Nitrides and Oxides, 2D materials, and heterostructures for high-frequency applications.
Prof. Vincenzo Esposito leads the project, and the team has access to state-of-the-art physical vapor deposition methods (PLD and Sputtering) and laser interferometry for device fabrication and characterization.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Experimental setup: designing a motorized system for thin film deposition.
- Chemical synthesis: fabricating ceramic targets using solid-state reactions and chemical methods.
- PVD deposition: assembling materials using PLD and RFMS.
- Characterization: testing nanostructures using XRD and electron microscopy.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials science and good communication skills.
