About DTU Chemistry

DTU Chemistry is a leading department in physical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and organic chemistry. Our research-based teaching at the BSc, MSc, and PhD level enables students to develop their skills in these fields.

We are looking for a professor in chemical thermodynamics to strengthen our research and education in this area. The successful candidate will be expected to play a key role in advancing thermodynamic modeling and algorithms for complex chemical and phase equilibria in CO2 capture and storage (CCS) and other high-impact decarbonization efforts.

  • The professor will leverage quantum chemical tools or other theoretical insights to develop novel engineering modeling tools for application in both academia and industry.
  • The professor will enhance the understanding and characterization of complex phase behavior by using state-of-the-art tools in experimental thermodynamics.
  • The professor will initiate, supervise, and communicate fundamental and applied research in the field of chemical thermodynamics.
  • The professor will develop teaching and education within the fields of physical chemistry and chemical thermodynamics.
