Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our team at Aarhus University, Denmark. The successful candidate will have a strong background in astronomy and experience in handling data. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the detection of exoplanet host stars and explore their properties.

About the Role

The postdoctoral position will focus on the study of exoplanet host stars, utilizing data from facilities such as Kepler and TESS. The primary tasks will include detecting asteroseismic signals in solar-like exoplanet host stars, studying particularly interesting systems in detail, and investigating star-planet interactions for planets close to their host star.

The postdoc will collaborate closely with the other members of the Astronomy group at the department, pursuing other lines of related research and publishing papers in relevant astrophysics journals.

Requirements
  • A PhD in astronomy or a related field
  • Experience in handling data and expertise in asteroseismology, astrophysical noise sources, machine learning, or star-planet interactions
  • Demonstrated ability to publish in relevant astrophysics journals and strong oral and written proficiency in English

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is approximately 51,000-56,000 EUR per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
