Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Genomic Evolutionary Researcher to join our team at BiRC. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will contribute to our projects in population genetics, developing methods for inference on population history, inbreeding, and relatedness from single genomes.
You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team, collaborating with archaeologists and bioinformaticians to create integrated workflows for reconstructing gene-culture coevolution using co-phylogenetic methods applied in parallel to material culture data and ancient DNA.
Required Skills and QualificationsThe successful candidate must hold a PhD degree in evolutionary genetics, population genetics, or a related field. You should have experience in genomic analysis, method development, and collaborative research environments.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential, as well as the ability to participate in project activities, data collection, and analysis.
