Job Description Summary

Become part of a dynamic team driving the Green Energy transition. GE Vernova's Power Transmission Service business is responsible for delivering after-sales support of power transmission equipment, encompassing erection and commissioning, spare parts, maintenance, and repair to major overhaul and extension projects.

We are seeking an experienced Sourcing/Procurement Specialist to join our team and oversee the procurement process from source to pay for contractors and spare parts. Experience in the power transmission industry is beneficial, but we value enthusiasm, drive, and a proven track record in corporate procurement and sourcing environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the buying process for spare parts, materials, and sub-contractors across Denmark.
  • Drive procurement activities on assigned commodities to deliver a competitive advantage within the Danish market and apply advanced sourcing and procurement best practices towards operational excellence.
  • Conduct RFQs, negotiate pricing and contractual terms (T&Cs).
  • Issue purchase orders and actively support the full procure-to-pay cycle.
  • Follow-up PO acknowledgement, delivery status, and solve delivery problems and schedule changes.
  • Create, Implement, and Improve key performance metrics such as on-time delivery, savings against budget, year-over-year deflation, payment terms, cost of failure, and delays.
  • Utilize Lean methodologies to improve proposal processes.
  • Develop reports, analyse spend, and apply sourcing and procurement methodologies to identify opportunities for cost-reduction and cash flow improvements.
  • Resolve contractual and supplier disputes where they occur, protecting the interests of the business and engaging legal Business Partners when required.
  • Develop strong relationships with Project Management EHS, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Quality, and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead and maintain meetings, reviews, and communicate about project status.
  • Effectively collaborate with regional stakeholders and global sourcing members to interpret requirements, define, develop, and implement sourcing and procurement strategies to enhance business performance and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in business, supply chain, or related areas.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in commercial sourcing, procurement, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Solid MS Office skills including Excel formulas, v-lookup, and pivot table knowledge.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation and report preparation skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and analytical skills with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to execute sourcing and procurement tasks across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to assess supplier technical capability, supplier capacity, and develop new suppliers.
  • Data analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a cross-cultural environment across different geographical areas.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to develop key internal and external relationships and influence at all levels.
  • Understanding of financials and P&L impact of sourcing decisions.
  • Fluency in English and Danish is a must.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering is desirable but not necessary.
Benefits and Working Arrangements:

In return, GE offers a competitive salary of approximately $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a flexible benefits package including private health insurance. Flexible working arrangements including a mixture of home and office working are available, but it is anticipated that the extensive interactions necessary across multiple internal stakeholders will require the successful candidate to be in our Stafford offices on a regular basis.
