Job Requirements

To be successful as a Professor of Statistical Methods, you will need to have a strong background in mathematical statistics or a related field, with expertise in one or more areas such as statistical genetics/bioinformatics, graph theory, or machine learning.

The successful candidate will contribute to methodological research in statistics, collaborate with colleagues from various departments, and teach in mathematics programmes.

  1. Develop new statistical methods and theories to address real-world problems.
  2. Collaborate with colleagues from other departments to develop strategic partnerships.
  3. Teach in mathematics programmes, including mathematics/statistics, mathematics-economics, and mathematics-technology.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD degree in mathematical statistics or a related area, a strong research record, teaching experience, and a strategy for future research and funding activities.
