We are seeking a highly skilled Security Testing Engineer to join our team at If Forsikring. As a Security Testing Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our production applications and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct and participate in offensive security tests against If's applications and systems to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
- Assess the security maturity of networks, assets, hardware, platforms, and applications from an adversary's perspective.
- Plan and execute a security testing roadmap to ensure comprehensive coverage of our systems and applications.
- Run and maintain automated security scan solutions and attack surface management tools to identify potential threats.
- Report on and prioritize findings to development teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely remediation.
- Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineers and development teams to address security defects before, during, and after development.
- Develop and maintain tools and techniques for security testing and attack surface management to stay ahead of emerging threats.
- Communicate new developments, breakthroughs, challenges, and lessons learned to relevant team members and leadership to ensure a culture of continuous improvement.
- Participate in developing internal processes and frameworks around security testing to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
- Lead and collaborate on additional projects, assignments, or initiatives as required to support the growth and success of If Forsikring.
- Suitable degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Related certificates, such as OSCP, are considered an advantage.
- Overall understanding and hands-on experience of IT services, operations, infrastructure, and application development.
- At least two years of experience performing security testing as a primary job responsibility, including the use of professional penetration testing tools.
- Sound understanding of application and network security vulnerabilities, defense techniques, and security best practices.
- Experience with modern application development languages and frameworks, such as Java, Python, React, and Angular.
- Basic scripting skills in PowerShell and Visual Basic are considered an advantage.
- Capabilities to communicate fluently in English, both written and oral.
- Systematic problem-solving approach coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.
