Senior Financial Controller for Renewable Energy

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Controller to join our team at Ørsted, a global leader in renewable energy. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team and contribute to driving change towards a green energy future.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for financial controlling of complex legal entities across Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. Key responsibilities include ensuring efficient and compliant processes, providing timely deliverables, and driving implementation of standard processes.
Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient and compliant processes by driving continuous improvement in close collaboration with colleagues and management.
- Provide timely deliverables while delivering high-quality results to internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive and ensure the implementation of our standard processes.
- Plan audits and maintain a close dialogue with external auditors.
- Conduct technical accounting controlling, including implementing and monitoring compliance primarily with IFRS but also local GAAP accounting.
Requirements
- A Master's degree in Accounting, Cand.merc.aud., or similar, and started or completed qualification as a state authorised public accountant.
- Solid experience as an auditor combined with some background in working in a controlling department in a large international company, and thrive in a changing environment.
- An analytical and logical approach to issues, as well as the ability to respond positively to feedback.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, results-oriented, set visible and relevant goals for your tasks, and are a problem-solver with a positive can-do attitude.
- Deep knowledge of financial and accounting (IFRS and Danish GAAP).
- Detail-oriented and have the ability to handle information you receive with a critical eye.
