We are seeking an experienced Gameplay Architect to join our team at Serbian Games Association. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing key gameplay systems and functionality that raise the bar on best practices and quality of code delivered.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Implement Gameplay Systems: Collaborate with the Game Design team to identify key systems and mechanics that drive the player experience, and design and implement them using best coding practices and architectural principles.
- Work with Cross-Functional Teams: Communicate effectively with designers, artists, and other engineers to ensure seamless integration and delivery of high-quality gameplay experiences.
- Maintain Code Quality: Ensure that all code is well-structured, modular, and follows best practices, with a focus on maintainability and scalability.
- Contribute to the Big Picture: Collaborate with the team to shape the overall direction of the game, and contribute ideas towards all aspects of the game's production and development.
- Experience: Several years of experience as a Game Programmer with a focus on larger gameplay systems, ideally with a background in combat systems.
- Technical Skills: Excellent C++ skills, experience with ECS/ENTT, and a strong grasp of Standard Template Library (STL) and underlying data types.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with designers, artists, and other engineers, and to share your passion and excitement for game development.
- Remote-First Work Environment: Work from the comfort of your own home, or from one of our offices in the Netherlands, Denmark, or Serbia.
