About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Data Steward to join our Data Representation department at Novo Nordisk. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our data, driving data management initiatives, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data management plans to ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across the organization.
  • Collaborate with data owners, analysts, and stakeholders to identify and address data quality or consistency issues.
  • Establish and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Drive change management initiatives to influence the adoption of standardized vocabulary and data management best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to educate and train them on data management processes, including data registration and metadata management.
Requirements
  • MSc degree in life sciences or a related field, with 5 years of experience in biological or chemical data management.
  • Knowledge of data format standards, FAIR principles, and biomedical vocabularies and taxonomies.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language, with a preference for Python, and experience with cloud platforms AWS, MS Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with (meta)data management of heterogeneous datasets, ETL processes, data governance, and stewardship.
