Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct high-quality research in plant-microbe interactions, publishing in top international journals and communicating your findings to national and international academic networks.
  • Teach, supervise, and examine BSc, MSc, and PhD students, contributing to the development of the department's PhD courses.
  • Attract external research funding to support your research activities.
  • Contribute to assessment and committee work at Aarhus University.
  • Collaborate with private and public-sector stakeholders, conducting research-based policy consultancy.
  • Disseminate your research to the outside world through various channels.
Requirements:
  • PhD in microbiology or a related field.
  • Experience in scientific writing, with numerous publications in high-quality journals.
  • Excellent H-index (depending on research area).
  • Proven track record of independent research of high international standard, with a substantiated research plan.
  • Extensive international research collaborations and experience.
  • Ability to perform ground-breaking research.
  • Experience in supervision at BSc, MSc, and PhD levels.
  • Documented experience with policy support.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in planning and conducting field- or greenhouse-work.
  • Experience in planning and conducting laboratory work within analysis of microbial communities.
  • Insight into biological/statistical data analysis, including integrative analysis of multi-omics datasets.
  • Experience with analysis of amplicon sequencing and metagenome datasets.
