Job Overview

The role of a Senior Automation Expert for Manufacturing is pivotal in shepherding our new facilities from the design phase through to operational readiness and into operations. In this capacity, you will collaborate extensively within Novo Nordisk's internal and external departments to ensure comprehensive resource coverage for project tasks and to establish standardized design, implementation, and deployment procedures for highly automated solutions.

Your responsibilities will encompass guiding dedicated team members to ensure oversight and offer direction for issue resolution, in conjunction with solution architects and other automation specialists. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in preparing all departments for operations by identifying gaps within SOPs, training, and competencies, and subsequently driving efforts to close these gaps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery, validation, and maintenance of the process control systems
  • Create, review, and approve documentation related to the design, operation, and maintenance of process control systems
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, external partners, and other automation organizations across Novo Nordisk
  • Leading employees through coaching, mentoring, and training in a technical capacity
  • Leading the automation direction and strategy in conjunction with other resources across API

Qualifications:

  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. within IT or Engineering related field
  • 3-5+ years of experience with process control systems (e.g. DeltaV, 800xA, Siemens) in an industrial setting
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and requirements
  • Experience within the Pharma industry (GMP experience is a plus)
  • Ability to communicate well in spoken and written English
