Signal Processing Expert for Innovative Hearing Aids

WS Audiology is a leading player in the hearing aid industry, driven by a passion to improve people's lives. To accelerate our business transformation and reach more people effectively, we are seeking an experienced Signal Processing Expert to join our team.
About the Role
You will be part of our cross-functional development workgroup, working in an agile environment with daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, review, retrospective, and prioritization according to the Product Owner's guidance. Your primary objective will be to design, implement, and test & verify signal processing solutions for our future generations of advanced hearing aids.
Your Daily Tasks Could Include:
- Developing innovative audio digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms, such as beamforming, noise reduction, and acoustic source localization.
- Implementing and integrating these algorithms into hearing aid features, collaborating with other R&D departments and marketing teams.
- Porting and optimizing DSP algorithms for embedded firmware and ASIC implementations, focusing on performance and power efficiency.
- Driving best practices for software development to ensure high-quality, reusable, and modular code.
- Providing technical guidance and coaching to team members in areas of expertise.
- Staying up-to-date with new technologies and integrating them into WS Audiology solutions.
- Collaborating with your agile team to break down complex tasks and plan your daily work.
Your Profile
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with +5 years of experience in audio digital signal processing, preferably from a relevant industry. You should have a solid theoretical background in various advanced audio processing techniques, such as spatial filtering, noise reduction, and beamforming. A Master's degree or Ph.D. in a field related to signal processing, acoustics, and psychoacoustics is required.
Salary
We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience, and a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth and professional development.
