Unlock the Future of Sustainable LEGO Bricks
As a key member of our Materials department, you will play a crucial role in driving the development and procurement of sustainable polymer materials for our LEGO elements. Your expertise in polymer materials, strong communication skills, and proven collaboration capabilities will help us create innovative play experiences for kids and adults worldwide while pushing the boundaries of sustainability in the materials and moulding industry.
Core Responsibilities
- Drive Technical Development: Collaborate with our Raw Materials Team to drive technical development and improvements of materials to meet regulatory, sustainability, and technical LEGO requirements.
- Lead Supplier Relationships: Strengthen supplier relationships and build on our insights in the manufacturing supply chain of polymers.
- Set Technical Requirements: Set technical requirements for materials and create the right link towards manufacturing and product platforms.
- Apply Production and Quality Data: Apply available production and quality data to strengthen our understanding of material behavior across the supply chain.
- Explore Digitalization Opportunities: Explore possibilities in simulation and ongoing digitalization to strengthen our ability to link materials to related technology platforms.
- Represent Materials: Represent Materials in various manufacturing and product development activities as well as being a key contributor in problem-solving activities across our supply chain.
Join Our Team
You will become part of the Materials department in the Engineering and Quality organization located in Billund. The department is responsible for the materials used globally in our production sites to mould and decorate LEGO elements. The materials include polymers (Raw Materials), coloring masterbatches, and decoration inks.
