Chief Internal Controls Strategist

Role Overview

Governance & Risk is looking for a seasoned professional to spearhead the development and implementation of our internal control framework. As an Internal Control Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping how we approach governance at Resurs Bank.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and continuously improving Enterprise Risk Management and Internal Control frameworks to support process design and entity-level controls throughout the organisation.
• Providing advisory services on internal controls design, implementation, monitoring, and reporting to businesses.
• Maintaining periodic internal controls performance assessments and ensuring timely responses to gaps/control improvements.
• Advising on required processes and ensuring awareness, application, and compliance with internal control steering documents.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in economics, business administration, finance, or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience within internal control or external/internal audit, preferably in the financial sector.
• Knowledge and experience in best practices for internal control and governance frameworks, particularly within listed companies in the financial sector.
• Experience from SOX is advantageous.
• English and Swedish skills at a business proficient level.
