Finance Plant Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Plant Controller to join our team at National Oilwell Varco Denmark I/S. As a key member of our FP&A team, you will play a crucial role in driving financial decision-making processes and contributing to the success of our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a business partner for Denmark, collaborating with managers across departments to align financial goals with business objectives.
  • Ensure timely and accurate Capex management, including forecasting and budgeting.
  • Conduct monthly cost analysis and present findings to responsible managers.
  • Coordinate quarterly cost follow-up reviews, encouraging managers to take ownership and present to the Finance Team.
  • Consolidate monthly expense analysis for the global SPS business unit and collect variance explanations for SPS management.
  • Lead the annual KAL budget process and cost rate calculations for Denmark.
  • Assist in improving BI reporting to support daily business operations.
  • Continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of processes and controls.
  • Ensure SOX compliance in your responsibilities.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed to support the Finance team and daily business.
Requirements:
  • Accounting background (HD/Cand.Merc.)
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience working in a financial/accounting environment, preferably within an engineering or manufacturing setting.
  • Strong financial analysis, reporting, and ERP systems knowledge.
  • Proficiency in GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
