Vestas, a global wind turbine manufacturer, seeks an Electrical Engineer to join its NCE Power Plant Solutions team in Northern Europe. As a key member of the technical sales management organization, you will contribute to the success of renewable energy projects by ensuring electrical compliance and mitigating technical risks.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a highly qualified team of experts in their respective fields. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Technical value engineering of customer renewable energy projects from the electrical side
  • Contribution to technical negotiations with customers and grid transmission operators
  • Taking ownership of relevant parts of technical risk assessment & mitigation during the Value Engineering/Negotiation phase
  • Collection and analysis of electrical data for project grid integration studies

The ideal candidate has a strong background in electrical engineering, preferably with experience in power system evaluations and studies, as well as knowledge of industrial automation and networks. Strong communication and presentation skills are also essential for this role. A solid understanding of English language is required, and additional Nordic languages are beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and build advanced wind power plants
  • Support customers in optimizing their projects through data analysis and simulation software expertise
  • Prepare grid compliance test protocols and support during test execution
  • Take ownership of relevant technical annexes and contract schedules

Requirements:

  • M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar position with regulatory electrical requirements and grid codes
  • Knowledge of power system simulations (e.g., DIgSILENT/PSCAD/PSSE) and equipment (HV and MV)
  • Project management experience within the wind industry is advantageous
