The PURRlab at the IT University of Copenhagen is seeking highly motivated individuals to apply for a PhD or a 2-year Postdoc position. The project, funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation Data Science Ascending Investigator grant, aims to design competitions with multiple metrics to evaluate algorithm robustness.
Machine learning competitions often face limitations in real-world applications. Our research focuses on developing novel methods to evaluate and increase the diversity of evaluation data. We will also explore how to evaluate similarity of algorithms and combine them to increase robustness without disproportionate carbon footprint.
We are looking for candidates who can contribute to this exciting project. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research topics and collaborate with international teams.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate machine learning algorithms using multiple metrics
- Develop novel methods to increase diversity of evaluation data
- Analyze and compare performance of different algorithms
